Peter! Got my copy today from Amazon pre-order, but was also pleased to see it featured in the "new in biography" section of my local Barnes & Noble! Yes, I go to bookstores...sometimes just to touch the spines of Plath books. Makes me happy.
Can't wait for your review, Peter! The first and only one on amazon.com is pretty bad (2 stars) and I'm more that curious to hear your opinion! :)
Maddy - Hello! It's great to know there are still bookstores & that Carl's book is available in it!
Anna - Hi! This is funny because I was not planning to review either Carl's book or Andrew's book because of a certain degree of involvement with them (discussing information, archival sources, etc.). And of all the books I'm likely qualified to review, these would be the ones! I may decide to review them but at the moment I have no plans to do so.

Peter, because you are such a trusted authority on all things Plath, I wonder if you might consider selecting passages from reviews you think are either fairly representative of the critical reception or that reflect the range of your own responses to our work. I can certainly understand why you would be reluctant to review our books since, in some respects, we relied on your good judgment and knowledge.
Peter, your analysis of the various reviews would be worth a read.
